Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited circumstances in which others may receive it. By continuing to use Pueblo County Criminal History, you agree to these privacy practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Pueblo County Criminal History does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email or contact submission as needed to answer it. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a visitor loads a page:

  • Page-view dates and times
  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring site, when available

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Directing a search request to the appropriate partner
  • Maintaining site availability and performance
  • Identifying useful pages and areas needing improvement
  • Diagnosing and repairing technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Pueblo County Criminal History neither maintains nor sells a database of personal criminal-record information. It provides general directions to records held by the sheriff, criminal courts, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and Colorado Convicted Sex Offender Search. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern information submitted to those tools. We do not control those policies, so review the applicable partner terms before running a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Colorado agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. Once you leave, the destination's policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.

Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select targeted ads. That processing occurs on their systems rather than ours.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to:

  • Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
  • Search partners processing a query you submit
  • Advertising networks serving site ads
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Standard security measures are used to protect collected information. No internet system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor submitted such data, we will delete it promptly.

Your Data Rights

Your location may provide additional privacy or consumer rights. Colorado public-record access is governed in relevant contexts by the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-301 through 309, and the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-200.1 through 206. At a minimum, you may:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you
  • Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Seek deletion of your data
  • Decline certain forms of processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. Any new version will appear here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
